This guide will teach you all about the Forge in MapleStory M. An item's Stats and Rank can be increased.

Level Up[]

  • Select weapons or armor to level them up.
  • The max level of weapons or armor depends on the item's rank.
  • You will earn more EXP if the item used as a material has a higher rank.
  • Mesos are required when leveling up. The number of Mesos required depends on the amount of materials being used.

How to Level Up[]

  • Select a base weapon or piece of armor to level up, and use material items to increase EXP on the selected weapon or armor.
  • STEP 1: Register the weapon or armor that you want to level up.
  • STEP 2: Register all material items to be used, or select them individually.
  • Equipped or locked weapons and armor can be registered as base items, but cannot be used as materials.
  • To use locked items as materials, select the item and unlock it before.

Rank Up[]

  • Reach the max level on each of the ranks (Normal, Rare, Epic, Unique, Legendary, Mystic) to move up to the next one.
  • When the item ranks up, its level resets to Lv. 1.
  • Mesos and Rank Up Stones are required to rank up.

How to Rank Up[]

When you select the highest level item, a Rank Up Stone is automatically registered.

  • STEP 1: Register the item you want to level up.
  • STEP 2: The Rank Up Stone that will be used will be automatically selected.
  • You can rank up items that are currently equipped or locked.
  • When ranking up, the required amount of Rank Up Stones depends on the type of item and its rank.

Fuse[]

  • You can fuse two pieces of the same type of equipment that are both the max rank level (Normal, Rare, Epic, Unique, Legendary, or Mystic).
  • The result is a random item of the same type as the base, but at Lv. 1 on the next rank.
  • The result will have one less star force than the base material use.
  • Mesos are required for fusion.

How to Fuse[]

  • Select two of the same type of equipment that are the same rank and are max level. One will be used as the base and the other as the material.
  • STEP 1: Select the base item you want to fuse.
  • STEP 2: Select a material that is the same type of item, rank, and is at max level.
  • Equipped or locked items can be selected as base items, but they cannot be used as materials.

Enhance[]

  • Enhance weapons and armor to increase their Star Force.
  • Enhancement results are divided into Successful, No Change, and Failed. When enhancement fails, the item may be destroyed. (When an item is destroyed, you cannot use the Forge.)
  • Weapons and armor of all ranks have a limited number of enhancement failures. When the number goes over the limit, the item cannot be enhanced any further.
  • Mesos are required for enhancement.

How to Enhance[]

  • Select a weapon or piece of armor that you want to enhance.
  • STEP 1: Select the weapon or armor that you want to enhance.
  • STEP 2: To increase the enhancement success rate, use items such as Lucky Day, Safety, or Shielding Ward.
  • Equipped, locked, and destroyed items can all be enhanced.
  • When enhancing, the required amount of Mesos depends on the type of item and its rank.

Change Options[]

  • Change an item's Potential in [Change Options].
  • Cubes and Mesos are required for changing options.

How to Change Options[]

  • Change an item's Potential by selecting it and using a Cube.

  • You cannot change Options on locked items.
  • The quantity of Cubes required depends on the item's rank.

Enhance Emblem[]

  • Enhance emblems on Elite items whose emblem levels are not at max.
  • Emblem enhancement can succeed or fail.
  • Mystic weapons and armor have a limited number of emblem enhancement failures. When the number goes over the limit, the emblem cannot be enhanced any further.
  • Emblem Traces and Mesos are required for emblem enhancement.

How to Enhance Emblems[]

  • Use Emblem Traces to enhance emblems.
  • STEP 1: Select the base Elite item with the emblem you want to enhance.
  • STEP 2: Emblem Traces to be used as materials are automatically selected.
  • You can enhance emblems on items that are currently equipped or locked.
  • The number of required Emblem Traces depends on the item's emblem level.

    • The destroyed equipment's Star Force rank.
    • The destroyed equipment's Potential rank and number of Potentials.
