This guide will teach you all about The Options Menu in MapleStory M. Select [Options] in the Main Menu to change various settings.

Options Guide[]

  • You can set your preferences for MapleStory M's push notifications, camera, audio, game warnings, game effects and other settings in the [Options] menu.
  • There are four different settings menus in the [Options] menu.
    • Info
    • Settings
    • Effects
    • Community

Info[]

  • The Info tab includes the following settings and information:
    • Location - Displays the game's service region.
    • Select Langauge - You will be able to set the game's text to the language of your choosing. The game currently supports the following languages:
    • KO - Korean
    • EN - English
    • Chinese (Simplified)
    • Chinese (Traditional)
    • LAS - Latin American Spanish
    • DE - German
    • FR - French
    • RU - Russian
    • TH - Thai
    • Game Version
    • Member No.
    • Free Cash Guide
    • Enter Coupon
    • Customer Service
    • Notice
    • FAQ
    • Account Link Status
    • Customer Center
    • Terms
    • Notifications
    • Account linked options:
    • Log out - This command is used to unlink the mobile account currently linked to MapleStory M.
    • Delete Account - This command is used to initiate deletion of the current MapleStory M account being used.
    • Select Character - Returns the player to the Character Select Screen.
    • Title Screen - Returns the user to the title screen.

Settings[]

  • The Settings tab includes the following settings and information:
    • BGM - Players can set the volume level of MapleStory M's background music.
    • SFX - Players can set the volume level of MapleStory M's sound effects.
    • HP Warning - Players can set the percentage of HP needed to trigger a screen flash warning,
    • MP Warning - Players can set the percentage of MP needed to trigger a screen flash warning.
    • Frame - Players can set the game's framerate. Currently, the two options are 30 FPS and 60 FPS.
    • Damage Effect - Players can set the way damage numbers move during battle. There are 6 different options for damage effects:
    • Vertical and Mini Vertical
    • Volcano and Mini Volcano
    • Blade and Mini Blade
    • Push Notifications - Players can choose whether or not the game can send them push notifications of shop advertisements.

Effects[]

  • The Effects tab includes the following settings and information:
    • My Character - Players can choose to either use HD or SD (standard) graphics for all visuals related to their own characters.
    • Ally Character - Players can choose to either use HD or SD (standard) graphics for all visuals related to other players' characters.
    • Large Monster - Players can choose to either use HD or SD (standard) graphics for all visuals related to Boss monsters.
    • See My Effects Only - Players have the option to set their visuals to only see their characters' ability effects and not those of other players.
    • Show My Minions Only - Players have the option to set their visuals to only see their characters' pets and not those of other players.
    • Show My Damage Only - Players have the option to set their visuals to only see their characters' damage effects and not those of other players.
    • Change Camera - Players have the option to adjust their visuals to the screen proportions of their liking.
    • You can adjust the camera's resolution using the aspect ratio slider.
    • The white dots on the slider are the recommended resolution settings for your device. Please keep in mind that they do vary from device to device.
    • Depending on the device, brief flickering of the screen may occur when adjusting camera settings.

Community[]

  • The Community tab includes the following settings and information:
    • Whisper - ON/OFF - Players can set their chat setting to deny incoming whispers sent by other players.
    • Invite Friend ON/OFF - Players can set their game settings to deny incoming friend requests sent by other players.
    • Record Video - Players will be able to record their own game footage. A Google Play account will be needed to use this feature regardless of the type of mobile account linked to MapleStory M.
